ACDS promoted Women Self-Help Groups-WSHGs on two fold. One is empower them socially and economically and other to extend their full support for children to realize their schooling, education and rights. Because of SHGs, children get support for regular education and schooling. In other way, women become empowered economically through their Federations promoted one in Thirupporur and another in Kattangkulathur block. As on this reporting period ACDS handling 520 SHGs in Thirupporur and Kattangkulathur block. ACDS is facilitating two Federations one in Thirupporur and another one in Kattangkulathur block. As on this reporting period all SHGs mobilized Rs.5, 37,25,000/- as Savings. In addition to this, SHGs obtained external lending from banks as direct loans Rs.3,00,80,000/-. The repayment is 98% on internal and external lending.
