ACDS – Association for Community Development Service is Non-Governmental Organization promoted in the year 1991 to work for children and women working in stone quarries in around Kattangkulathur block of Kancheepuram district. Various activities implemented in schools and communities to enroll and sustain quarry children in schools. Later quarry women and men mobilized and ensure their children education and schooling. SHGs were encouraged for internal savings and lending and latter external lending.

Because of ACDS interventions 100% enrolment ensured in the project villages and child labor completed abolished. From this initial progress, ACDS developed as Children Support NGO in the district and many projects implemented with the support and cooperation state and central governmental as well as international donor organization. It has enough infrastructures and human resource to implement project for well being of children and women. ACDS is maintaining cohesive and constructive rapport with district administration.
